Farida: Throughput

“Nature abhors a vacuum.”

I am anticipating my almost unbelievable “excavation” will amount to unharnessed creative inspiration and in it I will be able to thread my thoughts that will be more than a mere adornment piece.

I have found that in order be in a space to create and gather; there are two essential factors to consider.

1. Breaking away to break open.

2. Embracing vulnerability and honoring your truth.

It is okay to be clueless, lost, overwhelmed. I believe at times we (some of us)  feel guilty about not knowing it all or living by some ridiculous predisposed notion of how life should be at a certain age. Some of us let happiness bleed into  mundane tasks that only amount to some mass marketed pop culture socioeconomic snow globe “ideal” life.

We have to step out and observe our self, not others.  Are we following a curve? Is it stagnant? Our we waxing or waning? Are we walking wounded? What fruits are we harvesting in the self-reflecting pauses? Are we listening to sound of epiphany in the gaps between life’s joy and life’s challenges? I am learning.

The road each of us travels is intrinsically varied. Our hearts are veiled. We cannot know by first glance or even by the last conversation how anyone is navigating. All humanity can do is embrace compassion, stand in empathy and freely exchange ideas. Maybe if we are fortunate we can empty and fill our hearts millions times over and call this experience of life a meaning purposeful journey.

It is worth a try. :)

Directions. Detours. Crossroads. Interstates. Not a destination.
Missed Exits. Billboards. Signs.
Lost signal.
Compass. Cardiac.
Directed. Headed towards.
Memories per hour going towards one’s individual path.
Lovely.

"And I felt like my heart had been so thoroughly and irreparably broken that there could be no real joy again, that at best there might eventually be a little contentment. Everyone wanted me to get help and rejoin life, pick up the pieces and move on, and I tried to, I wanted to, but I just had to lie in the mud with my arms wrapped around myself, eyes closed, grieving, until I didn’t have to anymore."

"Incongruity is worth exploring. Sometimes it is just as it is. No rational reason for why it is, but just is. All one can do is accept it and surrender to it. After all life’s deepest feelings, experiences and moments float into the unexplainable and irrational."

"Sometimes the most complex situations in life are stripped down to a matter of timing. When is the right time? Did you miss your chance? Did you seize all the opportunities? Did tunnel vision leave you chasing a light?"
